Inspired by the expressive characters in Brentwood Arts Exchange & Art Enable’s exhibition Real Characters, this hands-on, drop-in workshop invites visitors to step inside the imaginative worlds of Maurice Barnes and Nonja Tiller and explore how these artists bring stories to life through vivid scenes and emotional expression. Using simple paper mechanisms popular in pop-up books (like ‘paper wheels’ and ‘pull-tabs’) visitors will experiment with ways to activate their drawings and give their own characters personality, motion and narrative. This FREE all-ages workshop encourages playful exploration and creativity and invites everyone to become both storyteller and maker.
