DESCRIPTION:Join the Riversdale Historic Site & Museum for our Needles and Narratives series\, where we explore how needlework can be a window into lives\, labor\, and movements traditionally left out of historical narratives. \n\n\n\nThis session highlights needlework as a form of resistance\, past and present\, focusing on abolitionist activity\, the Underground Railroad\, and the tradition of Storyquilting. Then\, participants engage in an expert-led workshop\, learning a new skill in stitchwork and contributing to the growing Riversdale community quilt! \n\n\n\nBest for ages six to twelve; all ages welcome. For payments at the door\, please arrive ten minutes early.
