SUMMARY:Gather on the Green: Go-Go on the Green
DESCRIPTION:Happy 90th birthday to DMV legend Chuck Brown! For the final installment of Concord Historic Site’s Summer Concert Series\, in partnership with the Go-Go Museum & Café\, we’re turning up the volume in honor of go-go music: its pioneers\, its cultural power\, and its enduring heartbeat in the region. \n\n\n\nAs the defining sound of the DMV\, go-go continues to claim its well-deserved political and historical recognition\, marked by the founding of the Go-Go Museum & Café and the official designation of August 22 as “Chuck Brown Day” in Washington\, D.C.  \n\n\n\nJoin us for an electrifying evening of rhythm\, community\, and celebration featuring high-energy performances by New Impressions and Next Generation Krank! Come gather\, dance\, and pay tribute to the sound that keeps the DMV go-going.  \n\n\n\nGather on the Green is a free summer concert series at Concord Historic Site that takes place the 3rd Thursday of each month.

SUMMARY:Untold Stories of the American Revolution by Dr. Richard Bell
DESCRIPTION:Most people know something about the American Revolution and about the Founding Fathers. But the full story of the Revolution requires us to look beyond their lives and expand its cast of characters. This lecture examines four other revolutionary lives: an immigrant propagandist\, a female soldier\, a fugitive from slavery\, and the grieving widow who became the most important Native American leader during the war. Virtual lecture with Q&A session. To register\, call the museum.
